At 7 a.m. on Oct. 16, eastbound lanes were still closed as investigators worked the scene of the crash, which occurred between the Harlem Avenue and Desplaines Avenue exits.

The location is almost exactly the same as a July 22 occurrence in which a driver was ejected from a car and a child was pulled from the flaming vehicle.
