Westchester Fest is Back
Westchester Fest is returning after a pandemic hiatus. The Fest will take place Aug. 13-15 in the parking lot of the newly purchased Village Hall building at 2305 Enterprise Drive in Westchester.
The fest will feature carnival rides, kids’ activities, games, a petting zoo, craft shows, foods and drinks.
Here’s a list of musical performances attendees can expect:
Friday, Aug. 13, 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- 4 p.m. | DJ variety music
- 5 p.m. | 7th Heaven
- 7:30 p.m. | The Redmond’s
Saturday, Aug. 14 | Noon to 10:30 p.m.
- Noon | DJ variety music
- 3 p.m. | Steve Calabrese
- 6 p.m. | Kicking Jimmy
- 8:30 p.m. | Infinity
- Dusk | Fireworks
Sunday, Aug. 15 | Noon to 10 p.m.

Taste of Bellwood returns
The Taste of Bellwood will return after a pandemic pause last year. The Taste will take place Aug. 13-15, in front of Bellwood Village Hall, 3200 Washington Blvd. in Bellwood.
“We are planning a safe event that will feature tasty, affordable food for $3 or less, free parking, carnival rides, a beer and wine garden, and great entertainment in a safe, protected environment,” said Bellwood Mayor Andre Harvey.
Admission is free. The Taste will also feature a car and bike show, and fireworks.

Experience a bunch of fun in Maywood
The village of Maywood has events planned all week long. Here are a list of some of them:
- Wine Down Wednesdays | Aug. 11, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at ReUse Depot, 30 Madison St. in Maywood
- Movie in the Park | Aug. 12, Sundown, Winfield Scott Park, South Maywood Drive and 17th Avenue
- Maywood Back to School Bash | Aug. 14, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Central Park, 921 S. 9th Ave. in Maywood
Rock of Ages to host Health Promotion Community Fair
On Saturday, Aug. 14, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the parking lot on 12th and Madison in Maywood, Rock of Ages Baptist Church, along with AgeOptions, Loyola and COVID Equity Response Collaborative Loyola (CERCLE) will host a Health Promotion Community Fair. Free blood pressure checks, mobile vaccines, healthy snacks, book bags and more.
