Maywood officials are planning for the annual Village Pride, Village Wide community cleanup — the annual event that allows residents to pick up litter and beautify the village.
This year’s event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 30. Maywood Mayor Nathaniel George Booker said the cleanup will be at 19 different sites across the village.
Residents will be provided materials such as gloves and paint. The cleanup will last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Booker said this year’s Village Pride, Village Wide will culminate with a community health fair at the Quinn Center of St. Eulalia, 1832 S. 8th Ave. in Maywood. The fair will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
